Terms & Conditions

Payments

​

1. All prices are stated in RM.

2. This quotation is valid for 14 days from the date of issuance.

3. Prices quoted are subject to availability and change.

4. Ex-stock is subject to prior sales; otherwise, 1-2 weeks upon order confirmation.

5. Please make all cheques payable to "FUTURE A.V COMPANY".

6. Please make all bank transfers to “Public bank PBBEMYKL 3-2344251-00”.

7. FUTURE A.V COMPANY's terms and conditions of sale shall apply to the acceptance of an order unless agreed in writing to the contrary. A copy is available on request.

8. Unless explicitly stated, accessories required for installation are not included within this quotation. Such accessories include power plugs, additional power strips, signal splitters, etc. Power cords are usually included with the hardware purchase.

9. Labour required for laying cables is not included within this quotation unless otherwise stated.

10. Our systems are custom-designed and specified to fit the project, expectations, and budget.

11. Changes in Aqara Software will be done through online software upgrades. An onsite upgrade may not be required.

12. The warranty of the smart switches will only be covered if our recommended electricians do the installation. Please note that

switch replacement will be on a case-to-case basis.

13. Services will be rendered via WhatsApp or our Facebook Chat Bot. Additional charges (RM100/trip) apply if on-site services

are required.

14. Site visit consultation is chargeable at RM 80 per trip and is waivable upon confirmation of packages.

Payment Terms:

50% upon acceptance and confirmation of the quote

40% upon successful delivery

10% upon completion or 3 months from delivery of the last item, whichever comes first.

Site Visit Requirements

​

  1. The depth of switches is to be at least 40mm

  2. 1x electrical point to be provided in case of installation of motorized curtains

  3. Neutral wires are to be available for every switch

  4. Loose data cables are to be available for ceiling-mounted routers

  5. All data cables are to be routed back to the fibre optic terminal. 

  6. All electrical boxes/ carpentry conceal boxes are to be installed before smart home installation

  7. All light & and fan fittings are to be installed before smart home installation

  8. All connections to Philips HUE/Yeelight LED strips need a 13A power socket connection. Please provide the right number of power points based on the number of 2m Yeelight strips requested.


Installation Charges/Penalty

  1. Warranty of the smart switches will only be covered if installation is done by electricians instructed by Future A.V. 

  2. Additional devices/setup rendered during implementation will be charged accordingly via subsequent invoices. 

  3. Future A.V company shall liaise with the Home Owner and/or their contractors, and the Home Owner and/or their contractors shall provide written confirmation that all  Installation Requirements are satisfied before Future A.V company can undertake any project installation works. 

  4. Future A.V shall not be required to instruct or engage electricians unless and until  Installation Requirements are satisfied. 

  5. Electricians instructed by Future A.V shall not be required to undertake any works under the Site Visit Requirements as they are the responsibility of the Home Owner.

  6. Home Owner shall be responsible for reasonable costs and expenses incurred by Future A.V due to any incomplete works under the  Installation Requirements, including but not limited to additional visits required.    

  7. Cancellation without reason of electrical/smart home installation within 72 hours prior to the scheduled date will incur an RM150 fee.

 
Software Warranty/Upgrades

​

  1. Changes in Future A.V will be done through software upgrades. An onsite upgrade may not be required.

  2. If Future A.V is engaged to install the network hardware for the entire property, Future A.V shall utilise its best efforts to resolve network issues caused by hardware issues.

  3. Hardware Warranty

  4. Future A.V devices come with a 2 years warranty. Should your devices malfunction within the first 24 months of ownership, Future A.V will repair or replace your unit, free of charge.

  5. All hardware and devices purchased from Future A.V will be under a 2-year warranty. This warranty is nullified once the device has been abused or tampered with.

  6. Future A.V will not be required to assist in setting up devices which are not purchased from Future A.V.

  7. The date of warranty starts from the date of switch installation.


After Sale Support

​

  1. Future A.V shall provide After Sale Support remotely via WhatsApp or Facebook messaging. On-site visits will only be required if both parties agree on its necessity. 

  2. Every on-site visit will encompass a transport fee of RM100.

  3. Home Owner shall utilise Future A.V and/or their contractors’ resources reasonably and in a manner appropriate to the circumstances.

  4. Home Owner shall be responsible for reasonable costs and expenses incurred by Future A.V due to the Home Owner and/or their contractors' failure to cooperate with Future A.V.  

  5. Depending on the complexity of the repair works required, additional charges may be necessary, but Future A.V shall seek consultation and the consent of the client / Home Owner before imposing any additional charges.


Maintenance Warranty

Hardware replacements for Maintenance Services:
1. Goods sold are subjected to a 1-year warranty against hardware from the date of purchase.
2. Goods are not returnable after installation.
3. No charges for on-site servicing within 12 months from the date of purchase.
4. Technical service charges and transportation charges apply for servicing for the subsequent months.

 

Off-Site Support


1. Services will be rendered via WhatsApp or through our Facebook Chat Bot. Additional charges (RM100/trip) apply if on-site services are required.
2. Please note that this is a maintenance service. The warranty period only lasts for 12 months from the date of installation.

Product Warranty (Aqara)

Future AV (“Company”) warrants that all Products will be free from significant defects in material and workmanship for a period specified for each Product. In the event of a valid warranty claim during this period, The Company, at its discretion, will repair or replace the defective product, or the defective part of the product, at no charge to the customer, subject to the following terms and conditions:

​

  • The warranty only covers products found to be defective due to faulty materials during the warranty period.

  • The warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear;

  • accidental damage;

  • damage and faults caused by negligent use, misuse, neglect, or careless operation or handling of products;

  • damage and faults caused by use of products not in accordance with the user manuals, or manufacturer’s specifications, or their intended purpose;

  • damage and faults cased by faulty and/or improper assembly or installation, not carrying out recommended maintenance, repairs or alterations carried out by parties other than by The Company or its authorized agents, or use of non-genuine parts;

  • damages or faults resulting from installations in conjunction with incompatible, faulty, or unsuitable companion devices, drivers, accessories, or fixtures, including in situations where these devices appear to function normally but might still cause issues due to, but not limited to, incorrect or fluctuating voltages, inconsistent power draw, or malfunctioning parts;

  • products that function normally but do not work in a customer’s specific setup with their lights, fans, and/or other appliances, including but not limited to fixtures with low wattage or inconsistent electrical usage;

  • use of products for anything other than normal domestic household purposes in Singapore;damages and faults from external sources such as transit, weather, electrical outages, water leakage, power surges, or uncontrollable external forces such as floods, fire, and lightning strikes;

  • costs of installation, integration, and other services provided in conjunction with the product which will not be reimbursed or covered under this warranty;

  • damage and defects caused by household pests, as well as household pets;

  • failures caused by circumstances out of The Company’s control;

  • shipping charges, express service charges, transportation damage, removal, installation or reinstallation of the product or replacement product;

  • use of products in conjunction with similar products of the same brand, but not supplied by The Company (including but not limited to parallel imports of genuine products from other countries).

  • The warranty becomes effective at the date of purchase or date of delivery and expires upon completion of the warranty period.

  • The warranty is non-transferable and only applies to the original purchaser of the product.

  • Software, data, configurations, and other digital content included with or created through the use of the product are not covered by this warranty. The Company is not liable for any loss, corruption, or reinstallation of such data or configurations, including, but not limited to, home automation and scene setups. Customers are responsible for re-establishing such configurations manually in case of product replacement or repair.

  • The customer is responsible for securing any confidential or personal information contained within the product. The Company is not responsible for any loss or unauthorized access to such information.

  • This warranty is only valid for products used within Sarawak, Malaysia.

  • Proof of purchase is necessary to validate the warranty. The products must be purchased directly from The Company or its authorized resellers.

  • The Company may conduct diagnostic tests on the returned product to ascertain the cause or reason of the failure or defect. These tests must be completed before a valid warranty claim will be issued by The Company and any replacements or repairs are arranged.

  • Parts or products which are replaced will become the property of The Company

  • If any part or product is no longer available, The Company will replace it with a functional replacement part or product.

  • The Company’s decision on all claims, including without limitation whether there is a defect in the product, the cause of failure or defect, the validity of the warranty, and what remedy is to be provided, shall be conclusive.

  • Repair or replacement of products under warranty will not extend the period of warranty.

  • The Company’s responsibility for warranty claims is to repair or replace the product or the faulty parts of the product only, and does not include dismantling, removals, installations, or re-installations.

  • The Company’s liability under this warranty is limited to repairing and/or replacing defective products or parts only. The warranty coverage will not extend to any loss or injury to a person or loss or damage to property or any incidental, contingent, special or any direct or indirect loss and consequential damages including but not limited to losses incurred due to any delay in rendering service and loss of use during the period that your product is being repaired and/or while awaiting for replacements or replacement parts to arrive.

  • The warranty is invalidated if the warranty seals are removed or where the serial number has been removed, defaced, or altered.

  • If the warranty claim is invalid, The Company will return the products to the customer.
